How We Can Work Together
Here are three ways we can work together. Whether you are dealing with a voice disorder, building your singing technique, or preparing for a demanding performance schedule, there is a way forward.
Voice Therapy
Evidence-based, individualized care for voice disorders. Designed for people who depend on their voice. I work with singers, speakers, teachers, and anyone navigating hoarseness, vocal fatigue, muscle tension dysphonia, or other voice conditions. I also offer gender-affirming voice training.
Singing Voice Training
Science-informed vocal training for singers across genres. Whether you are recovering from injury, transitioning between styles, or building your technique from the ground up, these sessions meet you where you are and help you understand your instrument as deeply as you use it.
Professional Voice Consulting
Support for performers, speakers, and voice professionals with high-demand schedules. We look at your vocal load, your environment, and your habits, and build a plan that keeps your voice strong and resilient across the long haul.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about working together
I operate as an out-of-network provider. This means I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide you with a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many clients receive partial or full reimbursement depending on their plan's out-of-network benefits.
No referral is required to schedule an initial consultation. However, before beginning voice therapy treatment, a laryngeal examination (visualization of your vocal folds) is recommended. If you have not had one, I can help you coordinate this step with an ENT or laryngologist.
A laryngeal exam allows a physician to look at your vocal folds using a small camera. This helps us understand exactly what is happening structurally and guides the therapy plan. For voice therapy, this is typically required before starting treatment. For singing voice training or consulting, it may be recommended depending on your situation but is not always necessary.
All sessions are conducted virtually via secure video. This allows me to work with clients regardless of location — voice therapy clients must be located in Texas, California, or New York during sessions, while singing voice training and consulting are available worldwide.
Most clients see meaningful progress within 6 to 12 sessions, though the timeline varies depending on the diagnosis, your goals, and how consistently you practice between sessions. We will discuss expectations during your initial consultation.
Voice therapy is a clinical service focused on treating voice disorders and restoring healthy vocal function. It requires a licensed speech-language pathologist. Singing voice training focuses on building technique, artistry, and performance skills for singers. Some clients benefit from both, and we can discuss which service (or combination) fits your needs during a consultation.
